How We Raise Money

Art Shows

For Kids' Sake Art Shows raise funds with the sale of artwork by American and Bengali children, professional artists and in-kind business donations. These events have become great opportunities for Western children to learn about the lives of their peers in Bangladesh.

Bangla Boxes

Children in Carbondale, Illinois have decorated recycled boxes and distributed them to local retail stores to collect spare change. Today, over 50 boxes are distributed all over town. Each week, the children collect the change and donate it to FKS.

Mixers

Inspired individuals offer to host a For Kids' Sake Mixer in their home or location of choice. A For Kids' Sake Presenter offers a 30-minute presentation, which is followed by discussion and an intimate reception.

Bangladeshi Handicraft Sales

For Kids' Sake sells Bangladeshi handicrafts at local festivals and events, as well as in retail stores in Carbondale, Illinois. If you are interested in purchasing these crafts, please contact us.

Change for Change Drives at Schools

change for change drive

Schools choose two weeks of the year where all their students collect spare change. We kick off the Change Drive with a For Kids' Sake presentation for the students and faculty. Often times, classes compete for the most money raised and throw a celebratory party afterwards.
